Obituary

With heavy hearts and endless love, we share that our beautiful mom, Virginia Cota Perez, has joined our dad—now reunited and dancing together "on a dime."

Mom was born on January 15, 1944, in Douglas, Arizona, and lived a life defined by resilience, grace, and quiet strength. A survivor in so many ways, her spirit left a lasting imprint on everyone she touched, especially her children, Barbara Salmon (Rene), Christy Camargo (Johnny), and Johnny Perez (Carly).

Mom had a deep passion for making a difference in the lives of young children. Through her work with elementary-aged youth, she shaped hearts and futures—many still remember her kindness, patience, and the impact she made at such a tender age.

To us, to her nine grandchildren, her siblings, and her sisters through marriage, she was simply the very best. She created a loving home filled with warmth, beautiful memories, handmade masterpieces from her incredible sewing talents, and, of course, her legendary tacos.

We will carry her love, lessons, and laughter with us always.

We love you forever, Mom.

Services will be held on Saturday, February 14, 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception.  Reception to follow at Obreros.
