Obituary

Our beloved husband and father, Tristam Anderson, 62, passed away peacefully in his sleep with his wife and children at his side on Pentecost Sunday, June 5, 2022.  Tris received the last sacraments of the Catholic Church by which he was armed and fed for the journey home to his Heavenly Father.  Tris is survived by sisters Sheri and Sheila, his wife of 38 years, Mary and children, Cody, Cheyenne, Savannah and Riley.

Tris was preceded in death by his best friend, Lynn Kartchner, his grandparents, Maudie and Tristam, his Uncle Johnny, Aunt Beula, father Jody, and mother Pauline Mae.

Arizona Department of Corrections Captain Anderson served the people of the State of Arizona for 17 years before his health forced him to leave the job and friends he loved.  Thereafter he served Douglas Public Schools as a long-term substitute teacher and then Loretto Catholic School as a 6 th grade teacher for 7 years, where he gave his heart and soul, blood, sweat and tears to the many students and the Carmelite Sisters of the Most Sacred Heart of Los Angeles, until he could no longer continue to work.

Tris left no one in his path without a word of advice, encouragement, or consolation, urging all those he encountered to, as he himself did so well, face life's struggles with courage and laughter.  He was his wife Mary's best friend, and Heaven-sent embodiment of the Lord's strength:  "My soul clings to you, your strong right hand sustains me." (Ps. 63:8).  He raised his children to be gentle and kindhearted, but also tough and independent.

"Love and respect." -Mr. Anderson.
