Thomas Woodworth passed away after a 3 year battle with Multiple Myeloma on August 22, 2018 in Green Valley Arizona with his loving wife Sally and step-children by his side.   Tom was born on August 5, 1953 in Pittsburgh, PA to Carl and Jeanne Woodworth.  He grew up and attended school in Pittsburgh and Harrisburg, PA and graduated from Central Dauphin High School in 1971.  After graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he served until 1979.   During his time in the Navy he served on the USS Seattle, U.S. Naval Aviation Weapons Facility in Cornwall England; the U.S. Naval Amphibious Base in Coronado, CA and the USS Ponce.   Following his Naval service, he earned a BS in Accounting from Penn State in 1983 and in 1988 an MBA from Golden Gate University in Arizona.   Tom moved to Arizona and worked as an accountant for Phelps Dodge Mercantile in Douglas, Arizona from January 1984 – November 1988.   He then worked as Controller and Chief Financial Officer for Arizona Family Care Associates in Sierra Vista, AZ.   In 2004 he accepted a position as Chief Financial Officer for United Community Health Center in Green Valley, AZ where he worked until illness forced his retirement in November 2017.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents and step daughter, Lisa Speer.   He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Sally (Kimble) Woodworth; brothers William and Richard (Donna) Woodworth of PA; two step-children Richard (Kristi) Smith of Tucson, AZ and Robyn (David) Escarcega of Douglas, AZ.  He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, two of which he and Sally raised as their own, and 3 great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews and in-laws.

Tom was a loving and generous husband, step-father, grandfather and friend.  He was also a dedicated employee, loved and highly respected by his co-workers and employees and made every effort to treat them fairly.  He took pleasure in providing working lunch meals for his employees as well as surprising them with silly, fun gifts.  He had quite a sense of humor. Tom felt very blessed in life and was generous in giving to the less fortunate   Memorial donations may be made to any of the following charities that Tom supported faithfully:  Gospel Rescue Mission of Tucson, Salvation Army, Community Food Bank of Green Valley and Diaper Bank of Tucson.
