Douglas resident, Teresa Olivarria Valente, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at the Sierra Vista Regional Health Center. "Teresita" as she was known by, was born August 14, 1921 in Esqueda, Sonora, Mexico. She was preceded in death by her husband Guadalupe J. Valente of 59 years, son Ruben O. Valente, sister Santos Friend and brother Jorge Olivarria. She is survived by her 12 children, Maria Jesus Sein, Lupe (Miguel) Silva, Elvia Valente, Velia Valente, Amanda (John) McCarrell, Teresa (Bill) Cloud, Celina (Marcos) Ruiz, Oscar Valente, Olivia Valente, George (Rosa) Valente, Sandra Valente, Rene (Elza) Valente. Also surviving are her 20 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She will be remembered as a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be loved and our time with her will forever be cherished. A Rosary for "Teresita" will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at the Brown Page Mortuary Chapel. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers who will serve are her grandsons, Billy Cloud, Francisco Felix, Ruben Valente Jr., Tito Silva, Sergio V. Guerrero, Jaime Sein, Marcos Ruiz Jr., Miguel Angel Valente, Esteban Urrera, George Valente Jr., Roberto Valente and Gabriel Felix. Honorary pallbearers will be Oscar Valente, George Valente, Rene Valente, John McCarrell, Miguel Silva, Bill Cloud, Marcos Ruiz and Rigo Urrera.
