Socorro Ibarra Ortega of Douglas, AZ, passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021, at the age of 89. Socorro was born on June 26, 1932, in Sonora, Mexico.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 69 years, Rodolfo (Rudy) Ortega; children: Jesús (Alma Delia), María del Socorro (Luis), Guadalupe (Oscar) and Francisco (Rosa María); grandchildren: Jannet, Eric, Sergio, Melissa, Jessica, Oscar, Vanessa, Lizette and Adrian and 18 great grandchildren; siblings: Francisca Lastra, Rita Hernandez, Alicia Romero and Filomeno Ibarra. she is preceded in death by her grandson, Jesus.

Socorro had a very strong faith and prayer was a part of her daily routine. She loved her family and put them and God first, so we know she is at peace in heaven now.

A private service will be held due to COVID-19 safety precautions. A celebration of Socorro's life will be held at a later date once it is safe to do so. We look forward to celebrating our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be truly missed.
