Obituary

Socorro (Coyo) Altamirano Duron went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 9, 2017. She was born on March 22, 1933 and was a lifelong resident of Douglas. She worked as a teacher's aide for 20 years at Sarah Marley school. Coyo was known for her sense of humor and devotion to her family.
She is predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Ruben; her parents Anselmo and Josefina Altamirano, her brothers Gilbert and David, and her sisters Christina, Ernestine and Lucy.
She is survived by her three children: Ruben Jr., Frances, and Arnold; three grandchildren: Adrian, Alisha and Alexandria; three great-grandchildren: Samantha, Dominique and Alexander; brothers Hector (Mary) Altamirano and Ruben Altamirano; sisters Esther Johnson and Virginia (Chris) Ireland and many nieces and nephews.
A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M. on Monday, February 13, 2017 at Brown Page Mortuary. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Immaculate Conception Church with Father Gilbert Malu officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Reception will be held at the Catholic Youth Center following the burial.
