On December 11, 2018 Samuel (Sammy) Oquita tragically passed away.  He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Oquita and Nephew, Diego Oquita.  Sammy was born on November 28, 1969 and lived in Douglas, Arizona his entire life until he recently moved to Mississippi about 5 months ago.  He was an extremely hard working man.  He worked many years at the Takata in Douglas, Arizona.  He also worked as a security guard, worked in a boot camp and many other places throughout his lifetime.  He was a very caring person and helpful towards the people he loved.  He will be missed and will forever live on in our hearts.     He was a great friend and always put family and friends first.  He had lots of people who cared about him and love him dearly including his friends and family.  He is survived by his Mother, Evarista Oquita and his sisters Myrna Hernandez, Magdalena Vasquez and Evangelina Oquita.  He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Edgar Arellano, Arturo Vasquez, Hector Hernandez, Priscilla Vasquez, Xylin Vasquez, Melissa Abellana and Michelle Erives and his brothers in law Arturo Vasquez and Hector Hernandez.  We would like to give a special thanks to Julian and Tina, who helped Sammy over in Mississippi where he was living with them at the time.  They were there for Sammy until the very end and we are extremely grateful for their generosity and their kind hearts.  Sammy was a great person and will forever be missed.   A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 17, 2018 at Immaculate Conception Church.  A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Immaculate Conception Church with Father Virgillio "JoJo" Tabo, Jr. officiating.
