Ruben G. Parra passed away surrounded by a houseful of loved ones at the age of 84 on August 27, 2019.  He is preceded in death by his wife, Luz Esther Parra, and is survived by their seven children:  Ruben Jr (Robyn), Lorena (Tony), Imelda (Ruben), Gilbert (Ada), Javier (Ana), Ernesto (Dorian) and Lucy (Daniel),  Ruben also leaves twenty-five caring grandchildren and four adorable great-grandchildren.  Ruben was a great man of faith and a wonderful father.  Until the end, Ruben proclaimed to all that "Dios es Amor, Dios es Perdon" which he believed with all his heart.

On Friday, August 30th, the Rosary will be recited at 1:30 pm followed by the Mass of the Resurrection at 2:00 pm at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Pirtleville.   Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Pirtleville.

Our family would like to thank the people of Douglas and Pirtleville for always giving our family such a warm homecoming in times of such great sorrow.  We also would like to thank The Villas at Green Valley for the wonderful care and unconditional love they gave our dad during his time with them.
