We are sad to announce the passing of our mother Rosa Ophelia Valencia, who passed away peacefully in her home on November 30, 2022 at the age of 79. Rosa was born on August 30,1943 in Douglas, Arizona. She was the wife of the late Jose "Lolo" Valencia, was the daughter of the late Frances Tapia, and was the younger sister of the late Maria Patino.

She is survived by her four children: daughter Diana Clark of Douglas, AZ (husband Michael, son Raymond, daughters Jennifer, Jessica and Elizabeth, and 4 great grandsons and 1 great granddaughter), daughter Barbara Serrato of Tucson, AZ (husband Albert, sons Albert and Anthony, daughter Danielle, and 1 great grandson, and 3 great granddaughters), daughter Rosemary Amavizca of Douglas, AZ (son Osman and daughter Adriana, and 1 great grandson and 1 great granddaughter), son Martin Jose Valencia of Tucson, AZ (wife Cherie, sons Martin, Alonso, Andres, Antonio, daughters Adriana and Adaly and 2 great grandsons): as well as two sisters Francie Cooper and Brenda Gross of California and her aunt Hortencia Carrillo of Pirtleville, AZ her oldest living relative.

Rosa spent many years being an amazing homemaker. Through her love of cooking, she always made sure there was a little something on the stove to share. After the passing of her beloved husband Lolo of 28 years, she went on to become a home health care manager with Heartfelt Homecare. She was loved deeply by those who worked with her and those who she cared for, over the many years.

She was blessed to be surrounded by her 4 children and Osman, her grandson, at the time of her passing. They helped care for her until her last days. She was surrounded by so much love and will be greatly missed.

Rosa will be remembered for her love of music, her wonderful cooking, her love of dogs, and especially her lively family gatherings. She loved the outdoors from sitting out on the porch to camping in the Chiricahua mountains. Rosa would love to be remembered with funny, silly, meaningful stories that celebrate what was good and blessed in her life.

Services will be as follow: Saturday, December 10, 2022; visitation will be held from 8:30 am to 10:30 am at Brown Page Mortuary, following a Mass will be celebrated at St. Luke's Catholic Church at 11:00 am, gravesite burial is to follow at Calvary Cemetery, then a fellowship gathering at Knights of Columbus.

Pallbearers include her grandchildren: Raymond Clark, Albert Serrato, Anthony Serrato, Osman Valencia, Martin Valencia, and Alonso Valencia.

Honorary Pallbearers: Martin Jose Valencia, Michael Clark, Albert Serrato, Diego Guerrero, Scott Berry, and Raul Hernandez.
