Rosa P. Valdez peacefully passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Hospice of the Valley in Chandler Arizona. Mrs. Valdez was a longtime residence of Douglas Arizona and had her home at 1025 7th Street. She lived in Phoenix, Arizona (Ahwatukee) with her family in Phoenix for 18 years. She was born on May 19th, 1930 in Watts, California. Mrs. Valdez was retired. During her career she was employed by The Woods Company and The Hungry Bear Restaurant. She was a member of Sociedad Mutualista De Obreros Mexicanos, and a past member of the Club Celini. Mrs. Valdez lived 87 fulfilled years enjoying her family surrounded by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchild. She was always full of life. She was an AVON Team Leader for many years in Douglas. She loved Bingo and was a huge fan of the Diamondbacks. Mrs. Valdez was proceeded in death by her loving husband Efrain Valdez & her only son Eddie Valdez. She is survived by her daughter Mary Ellen Medeguari (Tony) of Maricopa, Melissa Ibarra (Henry) of Phoenix, daughter in law Rosalie Valdez (Eddie +), Nine grandchildren Angelique Maya, Yvonne Maestas, Susan Hurtado, Tricia Vasquez, Clarissa Estrada, Steven Valdez, Alex Medeguari, Bianca Ibarra, Mia Ibarra. 13 great grandchildren Alexandria Maya, Rikki Maestas, Gary Maestas Jr, Izabella Maestas, Devian Hurtado, Alberto Hurtado, Jayden Franco, Jaylanize Franco, Jianna Franco, Sophia Medeguari, Adrian Vasquez, Aiden Vasquez and 1 great-great granddaughter Zaidee Ella Hurtado. Brother Joe Pinedo of Tucson, Arizona and sisters Lupe Salcido of Baldwin Park, California and Catalina Moreno of Tucson, Arizona. On Monday July 17th, 2017 the services will begin with a viewing at Brown-Page Mortuary from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. Rosary will be at Immaculate Conception Church at 10:30 am. with Mass following at 11:00 am. Burial at Calvary Cemetery, and Reception following at Douglas Noon Lion's Club. Pallbearers who will serve are Enrique Hurtado, Henry Ibarra, Gary Maestas, Gabe Maya, Alex Medeguari, Tony Medeguari, Joe Pinedo, Steven Valdez. Honorary Pallbearers are Rick Valdez, Rene Valenzuela, Alberto Hurtado, Gary Maestas Jr, Adrian Vasquez, Jayden Franco.
