Rosa "Rosita" Elena Ochoa passed away peacefully on Friday, October 20, 2023, at the age of 55 in Bisbee, Arizona. Rosita was born on August 18,1968, in Douglas, Arizona to Loretto and Rosalia Ochoa. She was one of six children: Jesus Ochoa (Sandra Ochoa), Cecilia Keeme (William Keeme), Elda Ochoa (Danny Larez), Loretto Junior Ochoa, and Vivianna Ochoa. Although she had no children of her own, she is survived by five nephews and one niece and blessed with eleven grandnephews and grandnieces.

Rosita grew up in a large lively family and loved music and dancing. Her favorite bands were Los Bukis and Los Apson. Those who knew her well say she was very motherly with her nieces and nephews, tidy and always helping around the house, and a hard worker. She remained a Douglas local her whole life and lived in her childhood home with her mother and younger siblings. For much of her life, Rosita lived with a debilitating illness, but was happy and well cared for. She had a great community of friends and family that would visit and keep her company. They always brought a smile to her face and made her laugh. And because of the unwavering support she received over the years, her family is forever grateful.

All services will be held in Douglas on Monday, October 30, 2023. The Viewing will be held at Brown-Page Mortuary at 8 a.m. The Rosary and Mass will take place at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rosary beginning at 10:15 a.m. and Mass at 11 a.m. Rosita will be laid to rest at the Calvary Cemetery.
