Obituary

Rosa Guerrero peacefully passed away on July 12th, 2017 in Gilbert, AZ surrounded by her loving family. Rosa was born on August 19, 1929 to Abundio and Isabel Grajeda in Douglas, Arizona. She was the eldest of 8 children. She attended Douglas Schools and graduated from Douglas High School. Rosa was a long time resident of Douglas, AZ. She married Jose "Cheche" Solis Guerrero on February 3, 1951. They began their life together in Los Angeles, returning to Douglas in 1956. She was dedicated wife and homemaker. Rosa was a kind and gentle woman. She was very protective of her children. She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing and reading. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by 6 children; Terri (Jeff) Hatfield of Sierra Vista, AZ; Elsa (Rollin) Pratt of Tucson, AZ; Norma (Alvin) Jardin of Chandler, AZ; Rene (Maria Meza) Guerrero of Tucson; Luis Guerrero of Douglas; and Jeremy (Yoly) Guerrero of Queen Creek, AZ. Her surviving grandchildren are Celina, Ralph, Rollin Pratt; Noelani, Aaron Jardin; Louie (Arlete), Stephanie (James), George, Ashley, Dani, Jacob, Leah, and Jeshua Guerrero. Also surviving her are five great grandchildren, Mariana, Ariana Guerrero, Jamie, Dylan Lopez, Samantha Ruiz. Siblings, Magdalena Martinez, Maria Louisa Altamirano, Hector Grajeda, Irma De Anda, special niece, Sylvia Medrano. Rosa was predeceased by "Cheche" on March 4, 1988; son, Joe Guerrero on November 29, 2009, parents, sisters, Estella Medrano and Norma Lopez, brother, Joe Grajeda, grandsons Richard Rollin Pratt and Louie Arthur Joe Guerrero. Visitation Will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 am on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at St. Luke's Catholic Church (1211 E 15th St. Douglas, AZ 85607) with a Rosary being recited at 10:00 a.m. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated following the Rosary at 10:30 a.m. with Father Martin Bosco officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Douglas. A Reception will be held following the services at St. Luke's Parish Hall. Pallbearers who will serve are George, Louie and Jacob Guerrero, Aaron Jardin, Ralph and Rollin Pratt. Honorary pallbearers are, Rene and Jeremy Guerrero.
