Rosa Moreno Bojorquez, 93, peacefully passed away on March 3 surrounded by her loving family members.
Rosa was born on February 16, 1925 in Nacori Chico, Sonora to Guadalupe & Candelaria Moreno. Rosa was one of 10 siblings.
In 1957, Rosa married Adolfo Bojorquez and they began their life together, eventually moving to Elfrida in 1972, where they raised there seven children. Rosa worked in various agricultural jobs throughout her lifetime. She was a wonderful homemaker, taking pride in her children and her home. She was known for her amazing cooking ability, especially her semitas. She also enjoyed visiting neighbors, watching novellas, listening to music and dancing, and she was a huge baseball fan, especially her Diamondbacks.
Rosa was full of life, determined, protective and strong. She had a resilient personality. She was also strong-willed and outspoken, but very funny. She lived life to the fullest and was a joy to be around. She loved all her grandchildren and great grandchildren dearly always wanting to know how they were doing. As a testament to her will at the ripe young age of 92 she became a citizen of the United States.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Adolofo (Fito) Bojorquez, seven children Rodolfo Bojorquez, Margarita Bojorquez, Ramon (Rosie) Bojorquez, Ernesto Bojorquez, Rosa (Ron) Aguallo, Hector Bojorquez, and Rene Bojorquez, her sister Anita Rivera, 21 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and eight of her siblings.
A viewing will be held Friday, March 9, 2018, at 11:30, followed by the recitation of the rosary at 12:30, and the Mass of Christian burial at 1 pm at St. Luke's Catholic Church in Douglas, with Father Armando as celebrant. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery following services.Friday
