Romelia Samaniego Valdez passed away peacefully on February 20, 2015, with her family by her side. Romelia was born on August 15, 1931 to Pedro and Maria Samaniego in San Miguel Bavispe, Sonora, Mexico. She married the love of her life Ernesto "Popeye" Valdez on June 28, 1952, they went on to form a family of a total of 10 kids and were happily married for 62 years. She is survived by her husband and children: George (Angie) Valdez, Alfonso (Berta) Villa, Alberto Villa, Martha (Tom) Felix, Armida Salas, Susana (Humberto) De La Cruz, Blanca (Frank) Zamudio, Maria Ellena De Luna, Irene Leon, Ernesto Valdez Jr. Along with her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Romelia will be greatly missed. MAY SHE REST IN PEACE. A Rosary for Romelia will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at the Brown Page Mortuary Chapel. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at St. Luke's Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
