Obituary

Rodolfo "Fito" Acedo, (82), passed away peacefully on Jan. 4, 2024, surrounded by his children.  Fito worked as a miner at the Bisbee Lavender Pit as well as the Phelps Dodge Smelter for many years. Fito loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He especially enjoyed hunting with his son and his grandsons.  He was well known for his passion for playing flamenco music on his guitar.  He had a wonderful sense of humor and was always telling jokes and doing magic tricks.  He will be dearly missed.

Rodolfo is survived by his children, Angelica Chavez, Charlotte Acedo, Rosanna Acedo, and Rudy Acedo Jr.  His brothers Luis Acedo (Lucy) and Bernardo Acedo (Mari) and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents Manuel and Socorro Acedo, and his siblings Manuel Acedo, Angie Rivas, Carolina Gutierrez, and Grace Davis.

Rosary and mass will be held on January 25, 2024, at St. Luke's Catholic Church beginning at 10:15 a.m. (rosary) immediately followed by a mass at 11:00 a.m.  There will be no service at the cemetery.
