Roberto G Fierros, 83, of Douglas, passed away peacefully at University of Arizona Medical Center and entered Heaven on Saturday August 16, 2014. Roberto was born in Nacozari, Sonora Mexico. He was preceded in death by his parents Jose Maria and Elvira Fierros, niece Tracy Fierros and brother Jose Fierros. Roberto is survived by his wife of 58 years, Nellie V Fierros and by his four daughters Rosemary (Joe) Chavez, of Douglas, Lucy Fierros (Reynaldo Holguin), of Herford, AZ, Rachel Saucedo, of Douglas, Nellie (Cesar) Rios, of Tucson, AZ, brothers Manuel (Sylvia) Fierros, of Albuquerque, NM , Ramon (Rosa Maria) Fierros, of Douglas, and grandchildren Joey, Krystal, Raymond, Jacinda, Kandace, Brianna, Kayleen, 6 great-grandchildren, along with 2 nieces and 1 nephew. Roberto worked for Paul Lime Plant for 42 years until his retirement in 1995. Our Dad was a wonderful husband and a loving father and his family meant the world to him. Roberto's family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and all the staff at UAMC for the incredible care they provided to our Dad. A Rosary for Roberto will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 22, 2014 at Brown Page Mortuary. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at St. Luke's Church. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joe Chavez, Cesar Rios, Raymond Holguin, Joey Chavez, Manuel Fierros and Ramon Fierros Sr. Honorary pallbearers will be Ramon Fierros Jr, Melecio Garcia and Reynaldo Holguin. Dad, Thank you for being a great father, grandfather, and great grandfather to our family. Thank you for giving us life and for all the lessons and guidance that you've provided. Thank you for all the love you gave us and for the sacrifices you made to insure our happiness. Dad, we will miss you forever. We know you are in a better place with the Lord.
