Robert "Bob" Davis went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, December 11, 2013. He was 62.
Originally a native of East Aurora, New York, Bob spent most of his professional life in the restaurant business. He came to Douglas in 2011 to join his sister, Mary Braun. In the time Bob was in Douglas, he made many friends working at the Farmer's Market (pulled pork sandwiches!), was a parishioner and volunteer for St. Luke's Catholic Church and also volunteered at the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. He will be greatly missed.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester and Rose Davis, brothers Samuel and Charles Davis and brother-in-law Ray Braun. He is survived by his sister, Mary Braun of Douglas, sister, Sharon (Jim) Norton, of East Aurora, New York, brother, Pat (Sandy) Davis of Derby, New York, many nieces, nephew, grand-niece and grand-nephew.
Bob's remains will be interred in East Aurora, New York. A rosary for the repose of his soul will be recited at 4 p.m. at St. Luke's church on Saturday, December 21, directly preceding the Vigil Mass at 5 p.m.
