Robert John Cross Frederick, 75 years, from Douglas, Arizona passed away Saturday, October 28, 2016. Robert was born November 6, 1940 in Buffalo, New York, the only son of the late Cross Samuel Frederick & late Helen Popka Frederick. Following high school he attended a vocational trade school studying the electrical field. He then went onto working as contractor building several quality structures in Western New York ranging from commercial to homes and even ski chalets. When he moved out west in the early 80's, he continued to work in construction including working as Superintendent of Construction at the Douglas prison facilities. As Always the business man, he decided to build condos for personal and rental use in Rocky Point, Mexico. People were amazed when they witnessed air conditioning, electricity and even ice makers all powered by the solar energy system he designed and installed. He loved deep sea fishing in the Sea of Cortez in Rocky Point. When he settled in the Douglas area he met his very dear friend, like a brother, Roger Earl. They have been side by side as friends, colleagues and co-workers for well over 30 years. When visiting with Roger, he remembers Bob's big heart and generosity to the community. For example, he routinely donated turkeys and hams to community parishes over the holidays. He was also known in the community to help a friend in need. He met and started dating his Wife Gloria in 1991 and later married June 9, 2009. They enjoyed going to Rocky Point and travelling in the motorhome across the country. They also enjoyed travelling to the Philippines to visit Gloria's family. His work ethic never stopped. Even while visiting in the Philippines he built some additions onto the family's home in Mindanao, Philippines. He was preceded in death by her parents and his eldest sister Carole Frederick Gates. He is survived by his wife Gloria M. Frederick, his children, daughter, Lynne Garrett, son, Troy Frederick and wife Beth, and one grandson Ethan Frederick. He is also survived by twin sisters Mary O'Mara and Pat Perfetto, with several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 3, 2016 in the Brown Page Mortuary Chapel with Reverend James Pitts officiating.
