Richard T. Verdugo ("Ricky")

Richard T. Verdugo, lovingly known as "Ricky," passed away peacefully on August 22, 2025, in Tucson, Arizona, at the age of 75.

Born on November 2, 1949, in Douglas, Arizona, Ricky lived a full and spirited life rooted in family, friendship, and a deep love for engines and fast cars. He proudly worked as a small engine mechanic at the local cemetery, where his dedication and work ethic left a lasting mark.

Ricky had a special passion for classic cars—especially his beloved '55 Chevy Bel Air—and found great joy racing at the drag strip, surrounded by friends and family. His love for life was contagious. He was known for his cheerful spirit, big smile, and the way he brought light and laughter wherever he went.

He is survived by his loving spouse, his children, grandchildren, and siblings, all of whom will miss him dearly and remember him for the joy and love he brought into their lives.

Services to honor and celebrate Ricky's life will be held at Brown Page Funeral Home in Douglas, AZ. A viewing will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a rosary from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Burial services will follow at the cemetery.

Ricky will be deeply missed, but his memory and legacy will continue to live on through the stories, laughter, and love shared by all who knew him.
