Obituary

Reynaldo A. De La Torre Sr. born on October 26, 1918 went to Heaven on October 26, 2016 with family at his side. Reynaldo was a lifelong resident of Douglas. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and worked at Phelps Dodge Smelter for over forty years. He is survived by his sister Nieves, sons Reynaldo (Francisca) and Jose, daughters Edna Chavez (Mark), grandchildren Andy and Kacie and Laura Landry (Gary), grandchildren Gary and Kevin. He was preceded in death by his wife Etelvina De La Torre, his sisters Lupe Quinonez, Enedina Bernal, Rebecca Urquijo, Ruth Czepowski, Ana Maria Moreno, and brother Anselmo De La Torre. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed. Visitation will be held at Brown Page Mortuary from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm on Friday, November 4, 2016 with Graveside Funeral Services being held at 1:00 pm at Calvary Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by the Fort Huachuca Honor Guard, the American Legion and VFW. Pallbearers who will serve are Philip Quinonez, Mark Chavez, Andy Chavez, J.J. De La Torre, Nick De La Torre, and the Hill Brothers. Honorary pallbearers are Genaro De La Torre, Steve Quinonez and Clint Hill and the Hill Brothers. The family would like to extend their appreciation to Legacy Home Health and Haven of Douglas staff for their deep compassion and care as well as friends and family for their support and assistance.
