Rene Orencio, 75 passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on October 22, 2017. He was preceded in death by his loving mother Angelita Vejar and loving aunts who helped raise him Genara, Maria and Mercedes Vejar. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Diane Orencio and their four daughters Michelle Ortega (Oscar), Ana Marie Orencio, Renee Morales (Ronnie) and Diane Patricia Valenzuela (Raul) as well as seven beautiful grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Rene was a long time resident of Douglas, AZ. He graduated from Douglas High School and retired from the Department of Economic Security after 20 years of service. Rene and his wife have resided in Sierra Vista for the past ten years in order to be closer to their children and grandchildren. Rene was a movie buff especially of science fiction. He also loved to listen to all genres of music and played the guitar. Additionally, he was in a music band during his teenage years. A Celebration of his life will be held Monday, October 30th at St. Luke's Catholic Church. The Holy Rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m. followed by the Mass of the Resurrection at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
