Rebecca (Becky) M. Valenzuela is, was and always will be a loving wife, daughter,

sister, mother, grandmother, and beloved friend. She was taken from us too soon, but is now

at peace and we will always cherish her.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Rebecca (Becky) M.

Valenzuela of Douglas, Arizona who passed away on July 18, 2022, at the age of 69, leaving

behind her loved ones.

Rebecca (Becky) M. Valenzuela was a lifelong native of Douglas. She graduated from

Douglas High School in 1971, and married her high school sweetheart in 1973. She worked

for the Douglas Unified School District from 1975 until she retired in 2008.

She was predeceased by her parents, Joe A. Munoz and Leonore D. Munoz, and her

sister, Sylvia Munoz.

She is survived by her husband, Andy Valenzuela, brother, Rudolfo (Rudy) Munoz;

daughters, Sandra (Sandy) Valdez and Michelle Valenzuela, and her son, Andres (Andy)

Valenzuela, Jr. Grandchildren, her granddaughters, Mikayla J. Sanchez, Areili J.(Jordy)

Valdez, Veronica (Ronnie) Sanchez, and her grandsons, Isaac G. Valdez, David J. (DJ)

Sanchez, Miguel (Mikey) Sanchez, and her great grandchildren, Arabella and Louie Sanchez.

Services will be held on Thursday August 25th, 2022 starting at 10:15 AM with the

Rosary and following with a mass at 11:00 AM at St. Luke's Catholic Church (1211 E 15th

St., Douglas, AZ 85607). The burial services will follow at the Calvary Cemetery (1501 5th

St., Douglas, AZ 85607).

Please join us for the reception following the burial at the Douglas Golf Club (1372 E.

Fairway Dr., Douglas, AZ 85607).

Heaven Needed Mom

So many things of Mom I miss - -

Her gentle hug and tender kiss.

I still can feel her warm embrace.

And picture yet her loving face.

A mothers' tasks are never done.

And Heaven must have needed one.

For angels came and took her hand

And led her to God's promised land.

She's surely kept quite busy there

While brushing little angel's hair.

And making sure they're dressed just right

Not staying out too late at night.

Although there's sadness, this I know - -

She's waiting there, her face aglow.

I close my eyes and I can see - -

Her arms still open wide for me.
