On Saturday, December 23, 2023 Raymond Pacheco, 33 died peacefully in his sleep at his home in Douglas, Arizona. Raymond was born on March 2, 1990. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Arturo and Alicia Torres, his paternal grandparents Juan and Amparo Pacheco, his Aunt Gloria Torres and Uncle Jose Vasquez. He is survived by his mother, Lillian R. Pacheco, his father Juan M. Pacheco, his Sister Myra Pacheco (Sergio Durazo), brother Michael Pacheco and brother Juan Pacheco (Veronica Tacho) and also 3 nieces/nephews, Aleyka, Juan Carlos and Sergio Jr. Raymond also leaves behind many aunts, uncles and cousins. Raymond attended Sarah Marley Elementary, Ray Borane Middle School and Douglas High School where he graduated from and was student body president of his class. Raymond pursued his education receiving his Bachelor's Art of Education degree from Northern Arizona University in 2022. Raymond was an avid baker, having started his own cake business in 2012. He was also an active member of the Knight's of Columbus for 7 years. Raymond was currently an Earth Science teacher at Douglas High School. Raymond was a loving, gentle soul. He truly was one of a kind. Raymond was a lovable, caring son, brother, uncle, godparent and a mentor to many of his students. His biggest inspiration was his Mom. A Rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 29, 2023 at St. Luke's Church. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated following the Rosary at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow follow at Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers who will serve are Michael Pacheco, Juan Pacheco, Jr., Sergio Durazo, Arturo Torres, Jr., Guillermo German, Joey Vasquez, Rene Vasquez, Adrian Torres, Ruben Torres, Albert Ortiz and Andres Ortiz. Honorary pallbears are Anthony Beltran, Martin Romo, Rene Brockman, Mr. Albert Young, Armando Robles, Gabriel Robles, Ruben Robles and Manuel Robles.
