Raul G Carrizoza, 87, passed away in Bisbee, AZ on Monday April 25, 2016. Raul was born on February 21, 1929 in Scottsdale, AZ to Angel Carrizoza and Rita Gongora. He married Francisca "Panchita" Carrizoza on September 28, 1946. They moved to Douglas, AZ in August 1958 and spent the remainder of their lives in Douglas. Raul was a loving husband for 65 years and a wonderful father to 12 children.
Raul worked hard in the construction industry of many years and retired from the Arizona Laborers and Teamsters after 35 years. Raul loved watching and attending baseball games and sharing his lifetime stories with his grandchildren.
Raul is preceded in death by his wife Francisca (September 2012), is daughter Martha Cecilia (February 1974); his son Gilberto (March 2014); his parent and his four brothers. Raul is survived by his 10 loving children: Raul (Betty), Ruben (Yvonne), Yolanda, Arturo (Diana), Esgardo, Frances Arreguin (Vicente), Blanca Warrren, Letty Harback (Tony), Sylvia, and Joe (Carol). Raul is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren, a sister (Socorro) from Glendale, AZ and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday May 1, 2016 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at the Brown Page Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday May 2, 2016 at St. Luke's Catholic Church at 10:30am. Interment following at Calvary Cemetery.
