Ramona Grijalva Mariscal went to be with our Lord on December 1, 2021. Mrs. Mariscal was born on June 11, 1934 in Douglas AZ to Maria and Ramon Grijalva. She attended schools in Douglas, AZ. Ramona worked at Billy the Kid factory for many years. She was a talented seamstress who enjoying sewing and crocheting. In 1957 she met her husband, Juan Mariscal at a baseball game and they were married on May 31, 1958. She devoted her life to her family. She was a homemaker who took her children to all their activities, cooked homemade meals, and tended to household responsibilities. She was a member of St. Luke's Church and taught Catechism classes for ten years.
Mrs. Mariscal was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Juan Mariscal, parents Maria Rogers, Ramon Grijalva and Angelita Grijalva, brothers Geronimo Grijalva, Arturo Grijalva, Ramon Grijalva, sister María Luisa Grijalva.
Mrs. Mariscal is survived by her daughter, Julieta (Brent) Bristow of Oklahoma, sons Chris (Betza) Mariscal, John (Dr. Gloria) Mariscal, Héctor Mariscal, Oscar (Nicole) Mariscal, all of Douglas. Sisters Conception Munoz, Delores Newman, Ruth Sánchez, Linda Reams, brothers Francisco Grijalva, Enrique Grijalva and Ritchie Reams
Also surviving are her grandchildren Christopher and David Mariscal, Oliver, Cristóbal, Victoria, Mariscal, Brittany and Paige Mariscal, Joshua and Allyson Bristow Neill, Zach Jensen and one great grandson Benecio Mariscal.
Family visitation will be at 8:30-9:30 am Saturday, December 4 at Brown Page Mortuary. A Rosary service will be at 10:00 am Saturday, December 4 at St. Luke's Church. A Funeral mass will be at 11:00am at St. Luke's. Burial will follow at the Veterans Plot at Calvary cemetery.
Pallbearers who will serve are Chris Mariscal, John Mariscal, Héctor Mariscal, Oscar Mariscal, Brent Bristow and Dale Jensen. Honorary Pallbearers will be Christopher Mariscal, David Mariscal, Oliver Mariscal, Cristobal Mariscal, Joshua Bristow, Zach Jensen
