Ramon "Guero" Molina Ballesteros, 55, of Douglas went to his Creator on February 26, 2014.
Ramon was born in Douglas, Arizona on August 31, 1958 to the late Virginia Molina and Victoriano Lopez Ballesteros. He attended Douglas Public Schools and joined the U.S. Army Reserves in 1978. Ramon was assigned to the 8th Battalion 40th Armor C. Company as an armor crewman at Fort Huachuca, AZ. When C. Company was dismantled, Ramon joined the Arizona National Guard in the 2222nd Transportation Company in Douglas, Arizona. Here, Ramon honorably served in Desert Storm/Desert Shield (1991 – 1992) and continued to serve the country he loved until he was honorably discharged in 1994. Ramon worked at Varela's Furniture Store. For many years, he worked as a local professional flooring installer. Ramon was known by everyone to have a very caring heart and contagious personality. Ramon loved dancing cumbias with his cowboy hat on. He loved family gatherings, Mexican Music, Country-Western Music, and Oldies. Our beloved Dad, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, and Cousin Ramon is survived by Ana "Margie" Portugal (J. Alonzo Jr.) of Sierra Vista, AZ; Monica Ballesteros of New York; and Angelica Ballesteros (Carlos Ochoa) of Tucson, AZ. He is survived by (5) grandchildren (Crystal Portugal; Aaron Portugal; Kain Ochoa; Saul Ochoa, and Giovanni Ochoa). Ramon leaves behind brothers Victor Ballesteros of Douglas; William (Christine) Ballesteros of Sierra Vista, AZ; Tom Ballesteros of Tucson; sisters Lupe Marrufo (Enrique) of Agua Prieta, Sonora and Ana Cordova (Pete) of Douglas and numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces, cousins, and friends. Ramon is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Abel and Guadalupe Ballesteros; maternal grandparents Juan and Maria Molina, Mother Virginia Molina Ballesteros, step father Roberto "PA" Hoyos, father Victoriano Lopez Ballesteros, brother Ben Ballesteros, and several other family members, maternal and paternal not named here whom we hold in our hearts and memories. The Ballesteros family is very appreciative and thankful for those individuals who remembered and cared for Ramon. Thank you!

Visitation will be held at Brown Page Mortuary, 910 F Ave., Douglas, AZ from 11:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. on Monday, March 3, 2014 with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 P.M. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 928 C Ave, Douglas, AZ at 10:30 A.M. Graveside services will follow at the Calvary Cemetery with full military honors by the U.S. Army Color Guard, the American Legion, and VFW Post 426. In lieu of flowers donations are being accepted.
