Our beloved father, Ramon S. Cruz, has gone home to Our Lord and to reunite with his beloved wife Hortencia who left this world to guide his path 3 months ago. Ramon, an exceptional spouse, father, grandfather and great grandfather was born on February 27, 1928 in Cumpas, Sonora, Mexico to Jose Maria Cruz and Guadalupe Silva. Ramon retired from the Chemical Lime Plant where he worked for many years as a kiln man and was known for his great sense of humor, his dedication to his employer and his hard work. His passion for sports of which baseball was his favorite, allowed him to meet many people who admired him and loved him for his clean and strict life style. Ramon passed away peacefully surrounded by his children Sylvia (Carlos) Valdez, Ramon (Brenda) Cruz, Letty (Javier) Grijalva, Everardo (Elizabeth) Cruz; grandchildren Randy (Adriana) Grijalva, Claudia (Brandon) Sanchez, Melissa (Chris) Cruz, Alexis (Miguel) Cruz, Anthony Cruz, Andres Cruz, Carlos Ramon Valdez; great grandchildren Alize, Henessey, and Jordan Grijalva, Chris, Jazielle and Ryder Cruz-Diaz, and Elena Lee Sanchez; step-grandchildren Zulma and Paul. Ramon was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Lupita Cruz, Rafaela Villarreal, Conchita Lerma, Carmen Eustolia Parra, Petrita Granados (cousin/sister), and brother Alfonso Cruz. He is survived by his cousin Maria Luisa Monge Rivera who he loved as a sister. A Rosary for Ramon will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Brown Page Mortuary. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 18, 2016 at Immaculate Conception Church with his nephew Father Jose Garibaldi Ballesteros officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Our Father will forever live in our hearts and our admiration for him will be eternal.
