Rafael G. Gomez, 82, passed away on the morning of March 28th, 2019.  He was born to Martin and Mercedes Gomez in San Miguel, Mexico and lived in Douglas for over 60 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother Octavio Gomez (Maria) and his sister Ana Luisa Martinez (Jose). He is survived by his wife Gloria Rodriguez; his brother Martin Gomez (Carolina); his sister Blanca Escarcega (Francisco); his daughters Yvette Arias (Armando), Carol Hernandez-Pedroza (Luis), Linda Morales (Tony) and Laura Pedroza; his son Manuel Pedroza (Griselda); his grandchildren Kiana, Tiara and Ty Arias (Judith), Kiara and Katya Hernandez, Marquis and Devin Morales, and Vivika Pedroza; and great-grandson Santiago Arias.

Rafael was a husband, father and grandfather who was loved by all his family and friends. He will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Brown Page Mortuary.  A Rosary will be recited at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 5, 2019 at St. Luke's Catholic Church.  A Mass of the Resurrection will follow the Rosary at 11:00 a.m. with Father Virgilio "Jojo" Tabo, Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
