Petra C. Lopez passed away peacefully on Monday, November 23, 2020 surrounded by her family.  She was born on May 22, 1947 in Douglas, Arizona to Antonio and Juana Grijalva Caballero.  Petra graduated from Loretto Catholic School and Douglas High School in 1966.  She attended Cochise College where she earned her associate degree in social works.  She held many jobs including Billy the Kid shirt factory, Douglas Health Department, and Douglas Unified Schools where she worked as a teacher's aide at A Avenue School.  She had a chihuahua named Cleo and a Labrador named Johnny who she loved dearly and were also her guard dogs.  She was a devout catholic and a member of St Bernard's church for her entire life.  She also enjoyed doing her "puzzles" daily and enjoyed watching all professional and college sports especially her "muchachito" Steph Curry and her beloved Wildcats. She was preceded in death by her mother Juana Grijalva Caballero and her father Antonio Caballero. She is survived by her husband George "Fly", her daughter Lorraine, son and daughter-in-law Jude and Analila, 9 grandchildren Nikki (Eric) Valenzuela, George, Jacelyn, Jude Jr., David, John, Evelyn, Liliana and Alexa and 3 great grandchildren Dylan, Fabian, and her güerito Harlan.  Also surviving are her step brothers and sisters Cristina, Louie, Carlos and Teresa Caballero and Connie Barron, stepmother Magdalena "Nena" Caballero.  We will miss mom dearly but know that she is in a better place and pain free.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at St. Bernard's Church in Pirtleville, Arizona.  Burial will follow at the Pirtleville Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

All services will be held following COVID-19 precautions (i.e. face covering, social distancing).
