Beloved husband, daddy, tata, great-grandfather, brother Pedro "Pete" Quinonez has been called home on the morning of April 27 ^th . Dad passed away at the comfort of his home surrounded by his wife, daughter and grandchildren.

Pete was born on April 9, 1931 in Fabens, Texas, son of the late Rodolfo Quinonez and Feliciana Valerio Quinonez. At a very young age, dad moved to Douglas and was raised by his grandparents Julio and Francisca Quinonez. He was the oldest of the three brothers growing up together.

On September 10, 1953 dad enlisted in the United States Army where he proudly served. Prior to joining the Army he was employed by Phelps Dodge as a Mucker in the Underground Mines Division. After completing his term in the US Army, he was reinstated and became a qualified miner. Dad worked for Phelps Dodge for 23 years until the closing of the underground mines and the Smelter until its closing. Pete also worked for the National Forest Service.

Pete met his love of his life Magdalena (Romero) and the two were married on February 14, 1953, Valentine's Day, dad was always a big romantic man! 68 years of true love! Together they had five children

Pete is survived by his wife Magdalena, his children Cecilia (Bob) Barrios and their girls Melissa Carnahan and Clarissa Dollman, Peter (Sandy) Quinonez their boys Peter Quinonez and Matthew Quinonez,  Alex (Veronica) Quinonez his children Erica Quinonez, Cheryon Quinonez, Jared Quinonez, Alex Quinonez, Ryan Quinonez and Devon Huish. Maggie (Sam) Nieblas their girls Abigail Nieblas, Ysabelle Nieblas and Samantha Nieblas. Kimberly Quinonez and Monique Quinonez from his late son Cesar Quinonez. Pete was also blessed with 23 great grandchildren.

Pete was preceded in death by his son Cesar Quinonez, brothers Rudy Quinonez, Mario Quinonez, sister Ramona Quinonez and Violet Quinonez. Surviving siblings are Olga Quinonez, Pearl Quinonez, Nora Barbosa, Thelma Quinonez and Fernando Rodriguez.

Dad loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, camping and hunting. He enjoyed just sitting outside his porch enjoying the Arizona weather.  Dad lived for his children and grandchildren, doing whatever it took to make us all happy and feeling loved. He was never our coach in sports, but was always our number one fan. We will miss his hugs, kisses, sense of humor, his laugh, his strength, his belief in God and in his children. We will always treasure and miss his comments… "I love you's, his God bless you's, his "that's good", his "and many more" after singing happy birthday and his "see you later alligator" to his granddaughter.

Pete was blessed with a holy rosary on May 6 and a beautiful mass by Father Noriega on May 7 at Immaculate Concepcion Church. Burial followed at Calvary Cemetery with Military Honors by Fort Huachuca Honor Guard and the American Legion and VFW.
