Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on November 5th, 2014. She was born July 18th, 1938 to Salome Hernandez and Margarita Soto in Nacozari, Sonora. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Claudio, sisters Isaura, Catalina, Adela, and granddaughter Danielle Elizabeth. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, David H. Iñiguez Sr., her sons Mario Soto (Josefina), David Iñiguez Jr. (Elda), and daughters Isaura Forrest (Eddie+), Isela Hughes (Louie), Anna Molina (Michael), Sandra Iniguez (David), Dalia Montoya, Gemma Quiñonez (Fernando), and brother Juan Hernandez, as well as 22 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Olivia was a homemaker and the best cook in the world! Up until her illness, seven years ago, she loved to cook for her entire family especially on Sundays after church. She had many hobbies throughout her life that included crafting, collecting shoes, and singing hymns while her husband played the piano. She loved to garden and took pride in her roses, especially pink ones! One of her favorite acts of kindness was to give flowers to those she cared about. Mom was a loving and caring person, a devoted Christian who entrusted her life to the Lord. She taught us to forgive one another and to treat people as we would want to be treated. Even up until her death, she would find comfort in calling out to the Lord. Mom, we are at peace knowing that you are no longer suffering. Although we miss you immensely, we know you are finally safe in the presence of the Lord. Until we meet again, Mom. You will forever be in our hearts. Memorial service is Saturday, November 15, 2014, at 11:00 AM at Iglesia Del Nazareno, 906 11th Street, Douglas, AZ. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
