Nora passed away peacefully on September 13, 2014 in Sierra Vista, Arizona. She was born in Douglas on May 21, 1915 to John H. Hughes and Refugio Gonzales. Nora was preceded in death by her husband Alejandro and son Alex. Raised in Douglas, Nora went on to nursing school and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. Later along with her husband, they owned and managed various liquor stores in Douglas, Warren and Sierra Vista. Nora was so looking forward to reaching her 100th birthday. We want to thank all those who cared for her at Life Care Center in Sierra Vista. Her laugh will greatly be missed. It was Nora's wishes that no services be held.
