Maria Jesus Palma passed away July 18, 2024. She was born in Cabullona, Sonora, Mexico on March 13, 1932, to Bernardo and Maria J. Vasquez. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Guillermo M. Palma, sisters Ramona Carrasco, Ernestina Caperon, Socorro Ortiz, Guadalupe Peralta, and brother Francisco Vasquez.
She is survived by her children, Norma (Joseph) Tinsley, Frank (Aracely) Palma, Bertha (Anselmo Jr.) Torres, Guillermo (Clarisa) Palma Jr., Ruben (Myra) Palma, Lorraine (Norberto) Valenzuela, Albert (Laurie) Palma, two sisters, Angelita Peralta and Juanita Hernandez, two brothers Rafael Vasquez and Eulogio Vasquez, twenty one grandchildren, thirty two great grandchildren, four great great granddaughters, and many nieces and nephews.
Maria Jesus was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother. Her entire life was dedicated to her family. She had great faith in Jesus Christ her Lord and Savior and will be remembered for her love of cooking tortillas, tamales, and empanadas, her love of music and dancing, crocheting and quilting, spending time at the casino, and her sign of the cross as she bid us farewell.
She was extremely proud of having three sons who served in three different branches of the military, extremely proud of her son in law and grandchildren who have served and are currently serving in the military.
She will be extremely missed by all who knew and loved her.
