Maria Eduviges Samaniego Melendez, born September 1, 1937, rest eternally in peace on December 12, 2019. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years Luis Melendez, sons Gustavo Melendez & Baby Ramoncito. Her father Encarnacion Samaniego, mother Maria de la Luz Samaniego, sister Adela Hernandez and brother Leopolo Samaniego.  She is survived by her sister Alicia Morales, brother Oscar Samaniego, daughters Gloria Melendez and Sandra Glassner. Sons Juan (Nadia) Melendez, Fred Melendez, Mauro (Becky) Melendez, Alonso and Servando Melendez. She was a proud Nana of nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She is also survived by three sister-in-laws and numerous nieces and nephews. If it wasn't scratching her lottery tickets, she loved to cruise around and please don't forget to buy her sarsaparilla. Momma had a big heart and hardly complained. She was a devoted Catholic and to the Virgin de Guadalupe. Many special thanks to Douglas Dialysis and the team at TMC. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the dialysis center.  A Rosary will be recited at 5:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at Brown Page Mortuary.  A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Immaculate Conception Church.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
