Maria J. Lord passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in Douglas, Arizona on April 2, 2018 at the age of 90. She was born in Nacozari, Sonora Mexico to the late Francisco and Guadalupe Quijada. Maria was preceded in death by her husband Norberto Lord, daughter Martha Lord, son Roberto "Bobby" Lord and three infant children. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Norma (Hector) Eribes of Douglas, AZ, Christina (Sonny) Tagert of Collegeville, PA, Lucy (Carl) Thornton of Tucson, AZ. Sons Jesse Lord of Douglas, AZ, Frank (Alisa) Lord of Yuma, AZ, Johnny Lord of Tucson, AZ, and Luis Lord of Casa Grande, AZ. She is also survived by her 15 Grandchildren, 17 Great-Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren. Maria lived in Douglas for the past 61 years. A dedicated wife and mother, she was most joyous when surrounded by her family. A devout Catholic, she had great faith in God. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. May she rest in peace. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M. on Friday, April 6, 2018 at Brown Page Mortuary. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Pirtleville, Arizona. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Douglas, Arizona. Pallbearers who will serve are Jesse Lord, Johnny Lord, Luis Lord, Victor Lord, Danny Lord and Ruben Eribes.
