María Guillermina Garza Viuda de Loving of Cananea, Sonora, Mexico, Douglas, Arizona and Tucson, Arizona died on February 22, 2024 in Tucson, Arizona. She was born in Nacozari de García, Sonora, Mexico on June 25, 1923.

Schools attended were Melchor O'Campo in Nacozari, Loretto Catholic School in Douglas, Arizona. Guillermina also completed a course of study in education with the University of Arizona at Tucson.

Guillermina served 33 years with the Cananea Consolidated Copper Company in Cananea. Her most recent position was a buyer for the Purchasing Department. Previous duties had been bi-lingual secretary for the Bechtel Construction Co. in Cananea, Secretary for the Purchasing Department of the Cananea Consolidated Copper Company (The 4-C Company), Secretary and Draftswoman for the Geological Department, worked as a member of the team in the Power Plant, and Importation Agent for the Purchasing Department.

She was a member of the Club Campestre de Cananea and the Douglas Golf and Social Club. She did volunteer work for the Douglas Food Bank besides being a faithful member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Douglas.

She married John Clyde Loving in 1976 on Easter Sunday, April 18 and she began her marriage with an "instant family" of children from her widowed husband. Although she had no children of her own, she would have been a wonderful mother just as she has been to her many nephews and nieces besides enjoying a fine relationship with her stepchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Plutarco Garza Rodriguez and Gertrudis Corella Lopez de Garza, sisters, Blanca Julia Garza of Nacozari, Libradita Armida Garza Vda. de Verdugo of Cananea, Angelina Garza, Vda. de Velasco of Nogales, María Enriqueta Garza Vda. de Murrieta of Cananea, María Dolores Garza de Robles of Cananea, and brother Francisco Xavier Garza of Hermosillo.

Surviving relatives include numerous nephews and nieces, children of her sisters and brother. Also, among her survivors are her stepchildren Gary Loving of Phoenix, Arizona and Jennie Ellen Brown of Tucson, Arizona. All her family members are very grateful to Hospice Tucson and to Oak Haven Assisted Living and all their personnel who made Guillermina comfortable in her final days.

A Rosary will be recited at 10:15 a.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Immaculate Conception Church.  A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated following the Rosary at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will be alongside her husband John Clyde Loving in the Veterans section of Calvary Cemetery in Douglas, Arizona. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to Oak Haven Assisted Living or Aegis Home Health & Hospice.
