It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Maria Calhoun.   Maria passed away peacefully in a room filled with loved ones on January 19, 2025.  Maria was born on July 14, 1963 in Agua Prieta, Sonora to Ruben and Maria Jesus Gracia.  Maria started her career as a bank teller at Valley National Bank in Douglas, Arizona where she met her wonderful husband, Loren Calhoun.  She went on to work at Chase Bank, Bank of America and WaFd Bank, where she was well known and loved by many.  After retiring from the bank, Maria went to work at Cochise Supplies as a secretary and owner.  Maria enjoyed many things like sitting outside by the pond with her husband, cooking and baking for all of the family, crocheting, arts and crafts and going out to watch the family play baseball, soccer and softball.  She enjoyed spending time at the lake and the cabin in the mountains.  Maria's greatest joy was her family, whom she loved.  Maria is survived her her loving husband, Loren Calhoun, Sr.; son Loren Calhoun Jr (Cynthia); daughters Vianna Salazar and Ashley Calhoun; grandchildren, Leonardo and Katyana Muñoz and Jayden and Aria Calhoun; mother Maria Jesus Gracia; siblings Ruben Gracia (Yvette), Vilma German (Charlie) and Rosa Yanez (David Gonzales).   She was the heart and soul of the family.  Her positivity and kindness brought joy and happiness to everyone that she encountered.  Your presence may be gone but your memory will always remain in our hearts.  Visitation will be held at 8:00 am on Monday, January 27, 2025 at Brown Page Mortuary with a Rosay being recited at 10:00 am.  A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11:00 am at Immaculate Conception Church.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Maria's name to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
