Manuel "Chichio" Amarillas, 57, of Douglas, Arizona passed away peacefully on Sunday August 30, 2015 at the Tucson, Arizona Medical Center. Manuel was born in Douglas, Arizona to Manual M. Amarillas Sr. and Andrea Reyes Amarillas. He lived his entire life in Douglas, Arizona. Chichio was a passionate man who enjoyed football, hunting, and scouting. He worked as a laborer with Phelps Dodge Corporation as well as the City of Douglas. In his spare time he enjoyed going out in the desert and observing wildlife, watching the Diamondback games, and sitting on the porch with his Mom and watching people go by. He is survived by his mother and best friend Andrea "Loli" Amarillas of Douglas, Arizona, his son Manuel Amarillas III of Phoenix, Arizona, his three sisters Dolores Rascon of Douglas, Arizona, Diana Gonzales (deceased) and Delia Anderson (Robert) of Washington DC, his brother Luis Carlos Amarillas (Soraya) of Tucson, Arizona. Chichio is preceded in death by his father Manuel Amarillas Sr., his sister Diana Gonzales, and Grandmother Nellie J. Smith. A Rosary for Chichio will be recited at 7:00 pm on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at the Saint Lukes Catholic Church in Douglas, Arizona. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 4, 2015 at the Saint Lukes Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Pirtleville Cemetery in Pirtleville, Arizona.
