Luz del Carmen Moran, a loving mother, affectionate grandmother, dedicated wife, courageous eldest sister and protective aunt left this world on June 2nd, 2023.
Luz was born on November 11, 1953 in a small town named Bacadehuachi, Sonora. Luz was the eldest of eight siblings whom she helped raise. Later on in life she started her own family as a single mom until she found love with her late husband of nineteen years, Manuel Moran. Luz is survived by her son Franscico Moran and her two daughters Edna Moran and Michelle Moran, which include her four grandchildren; Kaylynn Moran, Francisco Manuel Moran, Isaac del Rio and Makayla Moran.
Luz was a generous woman who was selfless in many ways. A woman who would put others' needs before her own. Luz's home was a place that was open to everyone. Her speciality was cooking for others and would offer a plate to anyone in need. Luz adored when her family would gather together and as the family grew bigger her heart followed. She never let anyone feel unappreciated, even by the most simple task of serving a cup of coffee. That is one thing that she loved, a cup of coffee with whomever was willing to enjoy it with her.
Her children were her prized possession, there was not one day where she didn't stress or think on how she could make their lives easier. Let's not forget her grandkids that she considered her babies and would spoil them any opportunity she got.
Luz was never a person who showed love by words. She never knew how to express those feelings but by her actions you knew her love was immense. The name Luz signifies light and that was exactly what she was: the light of her family, the light of our lives. Luz will be dearly missed and will continue to be, " la luz que nos ilumina".
