Lugarda Romo Peralta partió tranquilamente en su casa rodeada de su familia y seres queridos el 10 de abril de 2021. Lugarda nació en Cumpas, Sonora, México el 24 de agosto de 1927, hija de Enrique Romo Ornelas y Mercedes Ruiz de Romo. El 25 de enero de 1947, se casó con el amor de su vida, Elías Peralta. Estuvieron felizmente casados durante 51 años. Lugarda fue madre de Juan Carlos Peralta, Antonio Peralta, Anabel Peralta Cornidez y Francisco Peralta. Fue una figura maternal de Guillermo Valenzuela y Fausto Guzmán Peralta.
Lugarda era una esposa, madre, suegra, abuela, tía, y amiga querida y devota. Bisnietos Alejandra, Sophia, Alexa, Daysha, Santi, Noah, Sienna, Annalei, Victoria, Diego, Andrés, Adriana, Aideny, Alondra, Angelyna y Ayden. También le sobrevive su sobrino Martin Saldate Romo junto con numerosos familiares y amigos.

Lugarda Romo Peralta departed peacefully at her home surrounded by her family and loved ones on April 10, 2021. Lugarda was born in Cumpas, Sonora, Mexico on August 24, 1927 to Enrique Romo Ornelas and Mercedes Ruiz de Romo. On January 25, 1947 she married the love of her life, Elias Peralta. They were happily married for 51 years. Lugarda was mother to Juan Carlos Peralta, Antonio Peralta, Anabel Peralta Cornidez, and Francisco Peralta. She was a motherly figure to Guillermo Valenzuela and Fausto Guzman Peralta.
Lugarda was a beloved and devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She loved cooking, drawing, a devout follower of Our Lady of Guadalupe, and had an extreme love for all animals. Lugarda leaves behind a great legacy of love, respect, kindness, and service to others. She will most be remembered by her strong spirit, her love of God, and unconditional love for anyone who entered her home. Everyone who entered knew that they were loved, welcomed, had someone to confide in, and always enjoyed a warm homemade meal.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Elias Peralta; father, Enrique Romo Ornelas; mother Mercedes Ruiz de Romo; sister, Hortencia Romo Saldate; son, Juan Carlos Peralta; and son, Guillermo Valenzuela. She is survived by her children Antonio and Yolanda; Anabel and Francisco; Francisco and Lupita; Fausto and Jenny; and Mercedes. Grandchildren Jesus, Carlos, Yanett, Hector, Enrique, Francisco, Crystal, Fatima, Alexis, Esmeralda, and Azulema. Great-Grandchildren Alejandra, Sophia, Alexa, Daysha, Santi, Noah, Sienna, Annalei, Victoria, Diego, Andres, Adriana, Aiden, Alondra, Angelyna, and Ayden. She is also survived by her nephew Martin Saldate Romo along with numerous family and friends.
Her children, grandchildren, and family are infinitely grateful for the expressions of love and affection shown for our beloved mother and grandmother. May she find eternal peace.
