Loreto Rivera, "Lori", age 94 of Douglas Az. Passed away on 6/7/26 peacefully surrounded by family. She was born in Agua Prieta Sonora the child of Mariano and Maria Murrieta. She worked at Billie The Kid as a seamstress and made many friends before retiring, beyond work she was passionate about knitting,sewing, crocheting and needle point and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, teaching them the art of knitting, crocheting,needlepoint and sewing.She was well known in the neighborhood for her tortillas and many a neighbor would show up at just the right time for a snack of tortillas with butter. She loved the outdoors and Loreto and our father Juanito made sure we enjoyed and had fun in our trips to Kino Bay or anywhere we could be in nature. She was preceded in death by her husband and our father Juan Rivera, Loreto is survived by her sons George Rivera, Joe Rivera and Javier Rivera, her daughters Lupe Saucedo, Juanita Arvizu and Angie Verdugo, various grandchildren great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. We were all blessed to have her in our lives for 94 years and are thankful to God for letting us have her, we will miss the stories of her childhood in Mexico with her family, her warm smile, cheerfulness, and happy disposition. Funeral services for our mother Loreto Rivera will be on Monday June 15th as follows. Viewing will be from 8:00 am to 10:00 am at Brown Page Mortuary followed by a Rosary at Immaculate Conception Church at 10:30 concluding with the Mass at 11:00 am. Pallbearers will be Joe Rivera, Javier Rivera, John Vizuet, Luis Delano Vizuet jr., Michael Arvizu and Andres Lugo. Thank you to everyone who reached out to us with condolences and support they truly mean a lot to us in these trying times. We love you all!
