Linda Lorraine Young passed away on Tuesday October 24, 2017 at her home. Linda was born in Douglas to Edward and Evelyn LaForge on September 9, 1967. She is preceded in death by her father Edward.
Linda is survived by her husband Tony of 25 years and her sons Tony Jr. and Brandon Young. She is also survived by her mother Evelyn Robles. Her siblings Terry (Mike) Jordan, Michael (Maria) LaForge, Annette (Art) Robinson, Susan (Edward) LaForge, Rick (Carol) LaForge and her longtime caregiver and best friend Norma Garcia.
Linda attended schools in Douglas and participated in softball, basketball, cheerleading and graduated from Douglas High School in 1986.
Linda was a dedicated wife and mother to her husband and sons despite a car accident that left her a quadriplegic in 1995. Linda attended most of her sons sporting and school events, and took great pride in their successes on the baseball field, swimming pool, and in the classroom. She lived every day to see her children grow up and to be very much present in their lives and everything they did.
A Holy Rosary will be recited on Friday October 27, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at Brown Page Mortuary. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Saturday October 28, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Luke's Catholic Church with Father Liam Leahy officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers who will serve are Tony Young, Tony Young Jr., Brandon Young, Rick LaForge, Michael LaForge, and Michael Jordan.
