Jude Thaddeus M. Calderon
Jude came into this world on November 20th 1961. Bringing the joy only a newborn baby boy could bring.
Jude attended Douglas Public Schools where we played Football and won an award in Wrestling. He was a diehard, loyal Dallas Cowboys Fan all his life.
Jude was a humble, simple man with a heart of gold. He was respected and loved by many who knew him. He was known throughout the community for working at DARC where he took a lot of pride in his work and working with his clients. He opened and managed El Italiano Restaurant. He worked for Canteen at the Arizona State Prison before utilizing his skills and abilities doing yard maintenance around his community, where he served many.
Jude was kind, bighearted, respected and admired for the person that he was, always going above beyond to help anyone. He was a truly one of a kind and unique man. He always stayed strong and brave up to his last breath. He will be greatly missed but his memory will remain in the hearts of all that knew and loved him.
Jude was proceeded in death by his Daughter Saylah Anne, his Brother Jim, his Grandparents Edward and Rafaela Calderon Sr, Oscar Miranda and Anita Miranda and by his soulmate and best friend Massiel Valenzuela.
He is survived by his Father Edward J. Calderon Jr, his Daughter Miranda Dawn (Chuy) Castillo and Grandchildren Carlos Alan and Kaylah Aydee.
Brother John R. Calderon (Elaine), Daniel James and Raina Anne (Anthony). Brother Edward E. Calderon III, Whitney Anne and Blake Kennedy, Chelsea (Tyler), Aubrey, Arlo, Ryann and River James. Sister Candice Anne, John David (Mariela) Aguilar, Goddaughter Janessa Anne, Andrea, Gianna, Kianna and Andres, First Goddaughter Lacey Anne (Alex) Sallard, Harlem Anne, Hunter Rose and Aziel Armando, Miriah Anne (Paul), Penelope Dawn and Aidan Dean.
God sons Dylan Bernal and Robbie Romero.
Jude returned to Jesus and our loving Mother Mary on July 8th, 2024. Begin your life, son. Fly high and be free with all our Angels who were waiting for you with open arms. You've earned your wings in Heaven. Rest easy, you will always be remembered remain in our hearts forever.
You will be greatly missed. Continue to be strong and brave. Be cool, I love you always, your Mom Sylvia Anne.
A Rosary for Jude will be recited at 10:15 am on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at St. Luke's Catholic Church. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated following the Rosary at 11:00 am. Following his wishes, Jude will be cremated after the services.
Pallbearers will be John R Calderon, Edward E Calderon III, John David Aguilar, Anthony Robinson, Steve Pike, Mike Vega, Larry Morales and Marty Flores. Honorary Pallbearers are Carlos Alan Castillo, Chuy Castillo, Daniel James Calderon, Arlo D Lopez, Alex Sallard, John G. Calderon, Frank Rich, Jim Thibodeaux, Bob Rabago, Tyler Hilliker, Mario R Miranda, Ray Montano, David Acosta and Chuy Dorame.
Judgie, Hoody…Rest easy and be cool. Have fun dancing in the dark with Jim and Saylah. We will always be singing Hey Jude to you, but for now, Let It Be. We will root for your Dallas Cowboys this season! We love you and will look for you in the Rainbows!!!
