Juana was called to be with our lord on October 23, 2022. She was surrounded by her loving family at the time of her death. Juana was born June 24th, 1938 in Agua Prieta,Sonora,Mexico To Guadalupe Acosta and Guillermina Escalante. Juana and her husband José were longtime residents of Douglas. Juana is preceded in death by her husband, Jose, of 60 years, Sister, Mercedes Escalante, and Her parents . She is also survived by her four children Jose (Christina), Sergio (Oralia), Ruben (Cruz), and Lupita (Alberto). She leaves behind 15 Grandchildren and 14 Great-Grandchildren.

Juana was a devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister and friend to many. Juana was also a devoted homemaker where she would welcome anyone in her home making sure they were always well fed. She also dedicated many years to serving the Immaculate Conception Church Prayer Group. While we are saddened that our Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother has gone home for eternal rest, we know she is at peace and back with the love of her life.

"An angel lived among us, A gift from God above. She showered us with kindness And shared with us her love. She cherished every moment With the man who was her life; Walking hand in hand together, Facing life with all its strife. She loved her children dearly, Each one a different way, Nestled close within her heart. Though, now, she's far away. She's gone to live with Jesus. But, she's here with us today, Smiling down on every one of us, And telling us she's okay."

Services will be as followed: The viewing will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2022 from 1:00pm-7:00pm at Brown Page Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited on Friday, October 28, 2022 at 10:15am at Immaculate Conception Church. A Resurrection Mass will follow the rosary at 11:00am at Immaculate Conception Church. She will then be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery immediately after the Resurrection mass.
