Mr. Juan S. Galvez, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle was called to our Lord on December 29, 2016. Juan was born on April 25, 1925 in Douglas, Arizona and has been a Douglas resident for 91 years. He will be joining his beloved wife Edelmira "Mila" Garcia Galvez along with his son and daughter Hector Galvez and Lilianna Galvez. He is survived by his son Jesus "Jessie" Galvez and his wife Graciela Ruiz de Galvez along with his grandson Jessie Galvez, Jr. and granddaughter Leah Nayeli Galvez, son Johnny Galvez III, daughters, Ofelia Vargas, Elma Togafau, Alicia Duran and Delia Galvez. He served in the United States Navy and worked for Civil Services in Fort Huachuca, Arizona. He was a carpenter and could fix almost anything. He enjoyed hunting, gardening and loved his family very much. A Rosary for Juan will be recited at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Brown Page Mortuary. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, January 6, 2017 at Immaculate Conception Church with Father Theodore Lobo and Deacon Luciano Gonzalez officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery with military honors by the U.S. Navy Honor Guard, American Legion and VFW.
