José (Joe) Luis Perez, born January 8, 1946, passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones on December 16, 2019.

He is survived by his wife, Irma Perez, two sons; Victor (Laura) and Arturo, as well as three daughters; Cyndi, Krissy (Jerome), and Anissa (Andy), five siblings, 14 grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.

Joe was a retired Vietnam Veteran who loved spending time out in his garden and with his family. Wherever he was, he always had time to sneak a joke into the conversation. Joe will be remembered fondly for his fighting spirit and ability to remain positive. He was a devote Catholic and carried his faith with him until the very end. Many thanks to his care teams at TMC and Douglas Dialysis. We know that he will be watching over us every day and that we gained a new guardian angel last night.

Services will be as follows: viewing on Friday, December 20, 2019 at Brown Page Mortuary from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with the Holy Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m.   A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception on Saturday, December 21st at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery with Military Honors by the Fort Huachuca Honor Guard and the Customs and Border Protection Honor Guard.  A Reception to be held at Douglas Noon Lions Club at 2:00 p.m.
