Jorge Escalante
Brown
Oct 25, 1958 — May 25, 2025
With a very heavy heart we announce the passing away of Jorge E. Brown. The Lord called him to his side on May 25, 2025. Jorge passed away peacefully surrounded by his mother, two sisters and brother-in-law, in Scottsdale, AZ. Jorge was born on October 25, 1958 in Douglas, Arizona to Ben Brown and Sereslinda Escalante Brown. He attended Douglas Schools. He lived in New Mexico all his adult life when he moved back to Arizona. Jorge loved traveling to different parts of the country and especially nature drives. He loved driving up mountains and going to different lakes and spending time there. But his biggest passion was cooking. In New Mexico he was well known for his "Lumbre" tamales and his amazing red chili burritos, earning him the nickname of "Burrito." Jorge is preceded in death by his father Ben Brown Sr., his two brothers Ben Brown Jr., Hector Bojorquez and two sisters, Viola and Ethel. Two nephews, Albert Padron and Andres Bojorquez. Jorge is survived by his mother, Sereslinda Brown, two sisters Leticia Rios (Oraldo), Josie Brown-Ramirez and numerous nieces and nephews. Jorge, you will be deeply missed, especially your quirky singing and jokes. REST IN PEACE AND MAY PERPETUAL LIGHT SHINE UPON YOU. FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS.
