In Loving memory of our Beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of a wonderful, kind, generous and gentle soul. "Johnny" or "Dad" as he was also known, a longtime resident of Douglas, went on to receive his angel wings in peace on January 19, 2017 in Tucson, Arizona while surrounded by his family. He will always be remembered, loved and very much missed by his loving wife of 31 years Renee Calhoun; his loving daughter Renita Siqueiros (Yogi-Richard); his loving sons Jesse Worley, J.C. (John Caldwell) Calhoun IV, Nicholas Giles Calhoun; 5 grandchildren Lil Jesse, Mariah, Makayla, Jocelyn Izabelle, and Mason Sonny; 3 sisters, 2 brothers, 15 nieces and nephews along with numerous relatives and friends. Johnny was born in Phoenix, Arizona on September 9, 1953. He grew up in Buckeye and Tucson before making his home in Douglas. Johnny was co-owner and operator of Cochise supplies for over 40 years which he proudly retired from on September 2, 2016. Johnny is preceded in death by his loving mother and father Norma Jean Calhoun and John Caldwell Calhoun Jr., and his nephew Wyatt Eugene Hayden who are welcoming him home in heaven. Johnny was a man of many qualities, he enjoyed fishing, camping, and astrology. He greatly loved to be a very generous person, whether to the less fortunate or to the stranger in the park. He enjoyed seeing the joy in people's eyes and making people smile or laugh. Truly shined happiness in his heart. Johnny's favorite thing he enjoyed the most in the world was spending his time alongside his wife Renee, creating all the many memories they shared that brought such happiness to their hearts. Johnny poured so much of his time, love and strength into building his family, his legacy. Johnny was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle who was persistent on blessing his family and friends. He blessed us with such a wonderful life. His purpose here was complete. He was a great and wonderful man, simply the best. . . his love was felt, seen and enjoyed by oh so many, especially us, his family. Even though he was forced to slow down in the final turn of life, Johnny lived a very quiet, peaceful and blessed life. We all are missing you so very much, forever and ever our angel by our sides. We love you oh so much. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with visitation beginning at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
