We are deeply saddened by the passing of our son and brother, Joel Martinez, 34, on Friday July 3, 2015. Joel was born on December 11, 1980 in Douglas, AZ to Daniel and Josefina Martinez of Douglas, AZ. He was raised in Douglas, he graduated from Douglas High School in 1999. He attended Cochise College and he graduated with three different degrees, with a major in Computer Science. He did not go away to school because he wanted to remain close to Mom and Dad. He was employed with ManTech International Corporation in Fort Huachuca, Az. Joel is survived by his parents, Daniel and Josefina Martinez, his son Joel Martinez Jr., stepson Damian Noriega whom he adored, sister Ana Durazo (Rene) and brother Daniel Martinez (Amy) as well as loving nieces and nephews, Ana Cristina and Aglae Morales, Daniel G. and Sabell Martinez and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Joel was a loving father, uncle, brother, son, co-worker, and great friend to all. Our brother had a SPECIAL SMILE & LAUGH that will forever be missed. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 10, 2015 at Brown Page Mortuary, 910 F. Ave., Douglas, AZ., from 11:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with a Holy Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. at St. Luke's Catholic Church, 1211 E. 15th Street. A celebration of life Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2015 also at St Luke's Church with Father Armando Espinoza officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
