Joe "Pach" Vargas Guerrero, passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 20, 2017, at The Haven of Douglas. Joe was born in Douglas on August 26, 1936. He graduated from Douglas High School and was enlisted in the National Guard for several years. He worked at the Douglas Drug Company for many years until it closed. He loved his job at the drugstore where he would always greet his customers with a friendly smile. Joe had a few other jobs until he became ill. Before his illness, he enjoyed keeping his lawn perfectly manicured, maintaining his car, and watching his favorite TV shows during his spare time. Joe loved teasing and joking around with his grandchildren. Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Socorro "Chiquita" Guerrero, his son Max Guerrero, his parents Octavio and Aurora Guerrero, and his sister Aurora "Babe" Valencia. He is survived by his sons Henry (Cynthia), Jerry (Olivia), and his special grandson Jaime Guerrero, his daughter-in-law Luz Guerrero, 13 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and his nieces of Tucson. Joe's services are as follow, viewing at Brown Page Mortuary on Wednesday, August 23, from 4 to 6 p.m. and funeral services on Friday, August 25, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church, followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery. Care was entrusted to Brown Page Mortuary, Douglas, Arizona. Joe's family would like to extend a warm thank you to family and friends and to David Escarcega of Brown Page Mortuary.
